Farm fan cooling system is one very efficient way to control the temperature of the inside farm houses, it is wildely used in the chicken and pig farms.
The water pump sends the water in the water tank to the water spray pipe through the upper water pipe. The water spray hole of the water spray pipe sprays the water to the reverse water plate. Wet curtain wall, so as to ensure that the wet curtain surface is completely soaked. The remaining water flows back into the tank through the sink and return pipe.
The fan at the other end of the pig house exhausts the air to the outside to form a negative pressure in the house, and the air outside the house is sucked into the house through the cooling pad. The passage of air through the cooling pad causes moisture to evaporate, temperature decreases, and humidity increases.
The cooling pad should be installed on the wall facing the dominant wind direction in summer to increase the airflow speed and improve the evaporation cooling effect. When arranging the cooling pad, the ventilation dead angle should be minimized to ensure uniform ventilation and uniform temperature in the house.
According to the different ventilation methods of the fan in the pig house, there are three arrangements for the position of the cooling pad and the fan.
(1) Arrangement on one side of lateral ventilation: the wet curtain is installed on one side of the longitudinal wall, and the fan is installed on the other side of the longitudinal wall.
(2) Central arrangement of longitudinal ventilation: the cooling pad is installed in the central part of the longitudinal wall, and the fans are installed at both ends.
(3) One end of longitudinal ventilation is arranged: the cooling pad is installed at one end, and the fan is installed at the other end.
Among them, the arrangement of one end of longitudinal ventilation is the most economical and practical. The specific arrangement can be determined according to the structure of the pig house.
The farm fan cooling system was installed in some boar houses, pregnant pig houses, and delivery rooms, and the ambient temperature and reproductive performance in the pig houses that had been installed with the cooling pad-fan cooling system were verified on-site. The results show that the temperature in the pig house is a significant decrease, and the reproductive performance of sows improved.
The daily measured temperature records from July to August in summer in China show that when the temperature exceeds 35°C for more than 20 consecutive days, the temperature in the pig house with the cooling pad-fan cooling system is always maintained at 28 to 29.5°C.
Breeding pigs have always maintained a good appetite and normal feed intake; while the temperature in ordinary pig houses is significantly affected by the temperature outside the house, and the highest temperature in the house is sometimes higher than that of the outside world, even in the gestation house with spray cooling facilities.
The highest temperature also reached 31.4 ℃. See Table 1 for details.
Statistical results show that the pig house installed with the “cooling pad-fan cooling system” has a significantly improved summer reproductive performance compared with ordinary pig houses, the breeding and conception rate is increased by about 10%; 0.86 head (see Table 2 and Table 3 for details).
